GlitterComm Beta 2007.07.27
New version is up. A couple of new icons for GCMaster, chat logs, and some internal code cleaning. The important thing is that it comes in a setup and it should be easier for more people to install.
Enjoy!
GlitterComm is a virtual tabletop application to play RPGs. It's designed to play the world's most popular roleplaying game but it can be used to play almost any RPG.

I finally added a screenshots section to the site. There are just a couple of placeholder screenshots now but I'll replace and add some with action after my Friday game.
New versions, if there are any, will be posted on Fridays (before my game). Additionally, starting with the next version, it will come in a setup application instead of a zip file; it will install clean or update your previous installation.
A note to Game Masters: the setup will basically copy all files over into your existing installation. There should be no problem with that other than graphic files reappearing if you deleted them. Also, if the format for data files changes, in other words, if the update will make GlitterComm forget your cloak layer and minis placement, I'll note it in the download page so you can delay the update for your group for a more convenient time.
To avoid confusion I'm changing the version scheme to a simple date scheme. The date you see right next to the download is the version appearing in the title bar.

GCMaster and GCPlayer are now ready for your abuse.
Read some quick usage notes on the messageboards and feel free to post your comments.
As this is a beta stage, I'd appreciate if you report any bugs on the respective messageboard thread too.
